"How do our tiki bars handle the extreme winds and rain"? As you can see in this photo, this Big Kahuna Tiki Bar actually survived the brutal winds of a hurricane a couple of years ago! Others have survived straight line winds as well as tornadoes that have come close. The bottom line is, if you live in an area that gets a lot of high winds, there is no need to worry. Although we don't promise that that our tiki bars will handle everything that Mother Nature throws at us, we hope this answers this question. Our bars are designed to allow the brutal winds to pass through the area above the counters and the thatch will simply fluff and lift up to allow the powerful gusts to escape with no damage to the roof.
